How
It Works For Employees
1. Employee enrolls in any FSA (health and/or dependent care)
or Commuter Plan as before and the Card is mailed to their home
address;
2. The Card
is signed and Employee begins using the Card for any of the pre-approved
merchants (pharmacies, dental offices, child care facilities,
transit agencies, parking lots, etc.). The Card is denied at liquor
stores, restaurants, and other inappropriate providers; and
3. Employee
account balances can be viewed online. Employees can also report
a lost or stolen Card as well as print transaction statements.
How
It Works For Employers
Commuter and dependent care accounts are funded monthly while
the health care accounts are funded up to the limits elected by
employees - same as current funding arrangement. Money management
techniques are incorporated into TAI's system to help Employers
manage their cash flow. Employers also have online access to view
management reports and Card usage. TAI continues to review all
plan expenses each day, except now we view them electronically.
